BENEFITS: A safe, all natural way to treat bacterial fish infections. Also recommended for treating newly introduced fish to reduce risk of disease outbreak.

WHEN TO USE: When adding fish and treat:

(1) Open Red Sores (2) Fin & Tail Rot  (3) Open Body Wounds  (4) Eye Cloud, Pop Eye, Body Slime & Mouth Fungus

DIRECTIONS: Use the API Dosing Cap on Bottle: Shake Well. Remove activated carbon, if possible. Dose:  Add 5 ml per 10 U.S. Gallons (38L) of aquarium water. Disease or wound treatment: Dose daily for 7 days. After 7 days, make a 25% water change. Continue treatment, if necessary. Adding new fish: Dose daily for 3 days.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT:  Melaleuca 1.0%

TIPS: Use with API PIMAFIX to synergistically treat a broad range of infections. MELAFIX can be used with all API products, including medications and water conditioners. Laboratory studies proved that MELAFIX is safe for even the most delicate fish species, including tetras, discus fry and scaleless fish like clown loaches. MELAFIX can be used with all marine fish. It has been tested and found to be safe in reef aquariums containing invertebrates, such as live corals and anemones. Treating with MELAFIX will not harm the biological filter. MELAFIX is harmless to live aquarium plants. We recommend turning off the protein skimmer and UV sterilizer when treating with MELAFIX. Note: a slight harmless foaming may occur during the treatment.
